Job summary

Alpha-3-Consulting in Elkridge, MD seeks a CAD Drafter to support designers and engineers on electrical substation, utility and infrastructure projects. This is a full-time, hybrid role with three days in the office (Tue-Thu) and two days remote.

You will develop one-lines, schematics, layouts and BOMs using CAD tools, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and vendors, and assist with site walkdowns during project stages.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of CAD tools; MicroStation experience highly desired.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience drafting for utility or substation projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD tools to develop substation project drawings.
• Create one-lines, schematics, electrical layouts, site plans, structures, wiring diagrams, BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and vendors; clarify drawings and design changes.
• Support onsite walkdowns with the design team at various project stages.

Job Title: CAD DrafterLocation: Elkridge, MDPOSITION DESCRIPTIONAlpha 3 is seeking a CAD Drafter to provide support for designers and engineers on electrical substation, utility and infrastructure projects.This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule. Three days per week (typically Tuesday-Thursday) are expected to be in the office and two days per week from home.
