Job summary

Team Royal is seeking an Associate Drafter to join our Baton Rouge team. You will develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from concepts using our drafting standards, and assist engineers in design and drafting tasks. The role requires 3+ years of drafting experience on moderate projects and an associate degree (or equivalent).

A valid driver's license is required. You will work closely with senior staff to deliver accurate, timely results and support various multidisciplinary

Qualifications

Two-year associate degree or equivalent required.
3+ years of experience in engineering drawings for moderate complexity projects.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts and specs.
Assist engineers in design and drafting activities.
Assist engineers with technical tasks such as take-offs, estimates, and schedules.
Operate CAD workstations and related drafting software.
Occasionally perform field surveys to create drawings of existing conditions.
Interface with senior staff to complete multidisciplinary projects.
Ensure client needs are met in a timely, cost-effective manner.
