Job summary

System One in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a mid-level CAD Drafter/Designer III to craft detailed drawings for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and electromechanical assemblies. You will translate prototypes and sketches into production-ready documentation, onsite with engineers's guidance.

This contract role requires 3–5 years CAD experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with SolidWorks. You will collaborate with senior engineers to deliver accurate drawings, ensuring compliance with templates

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional CAD experience.
• Experience creating formal engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience working with mechanical, electrical, electronic, and/or electromechanical parts and assemblies.
• Ability to work onsite and follow direction from engineering personnel.

Overview

This is a mid-level CAD design role focused on creating detailed engineering drawings for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components and assemblies. The position works closely with engineers to convert prototypes, sketches, photographs, and existing parts into accurate, production-ready documentation.

• Ability to work onsite and follow direction from engineering personnel.
• Ability to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Stronger experience with GD&T and engineering drawing practices.
• Experience working with prototype parts and assemblies.
• Active security clearance or previous clearance experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position in Lynnwood, WA. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and other technical personnel to produce accurate, production-quality engineering drawings.
