Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Technical Drafter to translate engineering requirements into detailed CAD drawings and BOMs for our projects. The role is onsite in Everett or Renton and requires starting before 9:00 am PT with a typical 2:30 pm finish for a 40-hour work week.

Candidates should have CAD experience and education/experience as described; W2 only with no sponsorship. The position emphasizes accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to company standards in product definition data.

Qualifications

• Education/experience typically requires an Associate degree and 1+ years of drafting experience or a Bachelor's with 3+ years.
• CAD drafting knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering requirements into CAD drawings, BOMs and product definitions.
• Validate completed data against company and industry standards.
• Maintain product structure and configuration management.
• Create and maintain data processes for product definition and ensure accuracy through self-validation.

Job Description

Translates engineering requirements into product definition data (e.g., detail, assembly and installation drawings, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data, Bill of Material (BOM) etc.) to communicate requirements to downstream customers. Validates completed product definition data to Company and industry standards. Creates and maintains product definition data processes. Maintains product/part structure and configuration management of product components. Translates sketches, layouts and written specifications of engineering requirements into product definition data (e.g., detail, assembly and installation drawings, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data, parts list or Bill of Material (BOM) etc.) based on applicable standards and established precedents. Performs self-validation of product definition data to ensure the accuracy of completed work.

Education / Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc)
