Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Drafter to join our Drafting team. The role focuses on 2D line work and 3D modeling to support engineering projects at the Materials and Fuels Complex.

You'll collaborate with design engineers to define dimensions, tolerances, and components, perform geometric calculations, and produce field documentation. The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to standards, with a 4x10 schedule and Fridays off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years related experience.
• Relevant experience includes HS CAD classes or construction drawings.
• Experience with reading drawings and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex drawings with 2D line work and 3D modeling.
• Assist in determining dimensions, tolerances, and component selection.
• Perform geometric and tolerance calculations.
• Collaborate with design engineers to specify parts, assemblies, and installation.
• Provide field/as-built documentation support.
• Maintain knowledge of Creo, AutoCAD, Revit, and related software.
• Report progress to project and line management as required.
