Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Drafter to create detailed drawings and 3D models for machinery and mechanical devices. You will translate concepts into computeraided designs, revise prints after machining, and ensure accurate specifications reflect assembly and inspection results.

The role requires CAD with Inventor, familiarity with PLM systems, and the ability to multi-task in a manufacturing setting. A related degree or experience, and proficiency with Windows/Excel, are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and/ or 2-3 years of related experience and/or training
• Proficient at using a Windows based PC, using email, working knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of CAD Systems (Inventor)
• 3D Molding
• Ability to establish relationships with employees, peers and vendors
• Ability to multi-task
• Experience with Inventor Vault, Enovia/3DX is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for mechanical equipment and controls
• Create 3D models from old mylar prints
• Provide details on component descriptions
• Resolve design problems
• Make revisions/corrections to prints after machining to reflect actual inspection assembly of the tool
• Review and analyze specifications
• Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery
• Compute dimensions of materials and purchase accordingly
• Correct operating deficiencies
• Draft technical details
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures
• Design the parts of a machine
• Use CAD and Drafting systems to prepare drawings 3D
• Create and store drawings electronically
• Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Program drawings into automated manufacturing systems
• Prepare variations of design
• Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
