Job summary

The role requires creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models, reviewing specifications, and ensuring drawings are production-ready. Collaboration with engineers and production teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or coursework in drafting, CAD, or engineering technology preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with ability to create and revise 2D drawings.
• Experience creating or working with 3D models.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and other approved CAD software.
• Convert rough sketches, notes, concepts, architectural plans and engineering instructions into detailed technical drawings.
• Review documents to identify dimensions, specifications, materials and project requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings, submittal drawings, fabrication drawings and assembly details.
• Identify dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes and hardware for manufacturing.
