JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Description:
- Working from customer drawings, data files, and engineering sketches, prepare drawings for use in the manufacture of castings and assemblies using CAD systems.
- Use solid modeling to create casting, pattern, and die designs, applying shrink allowance per engineering standards, including weight calculations.
- Prepare machining drawings and process sheets for machining operations, including all manufacturing notes, tolerances, part weights, and other requirements and specifications.
- Produce and maintain die drawings for the Die Shop.
- Maintain CAD database including drawing numbers, revision levels, and conversions to item numbers as required.
- Operate plotter to produce hard copies of drawings.
Requirements:
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products and experience/knowledge of Unigraphics NX or similar CAD system, including solid modeling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including reporting, analyzing results, and preparing presentations with attention to detail.
- Experience preparing manufacturing drawings, preferably in a machining environment.
- Experience maintaining a database of CAD files.
- Formal technical education in CAD (preferably Unigraphics).
