Job summary

The Booz Allen Hamilton drafting team is seeking an experienced mechanical drafter to prepare electro-mechanical drawings and detailed documentation. You will lead multiple tasks, oversee day-to-day activities of other drafters, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure accurate models and drawings.

A strong grasp of ASME Y14 standards and 3D/2D CAD is required. You will develop design specifications, produce BOMs, and work with SOLIDWORKS/AutoCAD while applying project requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical 3D modeling and 2D CAD in a professional environment.
• Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14 for 2D drawings.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling techniques and best practices.
• Ability to support SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD and develop detailed drawings and BOMs.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The Opportunity:Prepare electro-mechanical technical drawings and documentation. Develop detailed design specifications for products and structures and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures. Lead multiple tasks and oversee day-to-day activities of other drafting team members. Communicate and collaborate with internal, external, technical, and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, to ensure the quality and accuracy of drawings, models, and other written deliverables. Comprehend the role by applying knowledge of program and project requirements, policies , and procedures. Perform moderately difficult support tasks. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD).
