Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a network engineer to design and implement DoD enterprise networks, focusing on voice, data, security, and AV systems at Fort Meade.

You will create engineered drawings, specs, and reports, coordinate with customers and vendors, travel up to 40% CONUS/OCONUS, hold Secret clearance, and possess DoD 8570.01 IAT II certification.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of DoD network engineering and implementation experience.
  • 3+ years with commercial hardware, networks, and cloud environments.
  • 2+ years in network discovery and documenting system requirements.
  • Experience with security, routing and switching protocols (BGP/IS-IS/OSPF/MPLS/LDP/RSVP/VPLS/STP/L3VPN).
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders; travel up to 40%.
  • Secret clearance and DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification.
  • HS diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Job description

The Opportunity:Maintain responsibility for completing site surveys and creating structured designs for the customer’s network in support of voice, data, security, and audio and visual systems. Design engineered drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents. Work closely with other IT and facilities team members, project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, material suppliers, and other technical resources to analyze business and technical requirements to develop system designs, estimates, implementation plans, management and customer reports, and coordinate the structured cabling design with other design disciplines. Implement final network solutions to support on-prem and cloud environments. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
