Job summary

Walker Products Inc. seeks a drafting professional to accurately translate and reproduce drawings from parts and earlier sources, and to make drawing changes as approved by ECNs/EOs. You will create new drawings, modify existing ones, and update status reports in a typical office setting.

Responsibilities include supplying released drawings to Production Control and aiding Document Control. Occasional weekend/evening work may be required due to business needs.

• Good general computer skills are required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential.

Job description

Accurately translate and reproduce drawings from actual parts, earlier drawings, or other sources. Make drawing changes or new drawings as a result of approved Engineering Change Requests or Engineering Orders.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create new drawings.
• Change existing drawings.
• Update drawing status reports.

Additional Responsibilities

• Supply Production Control with released drawings.
• Assist in Document Control activities as needed.
• Because of the changing nature of our business, this job description will inevitably change. The employee will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within his/her capabilities as directed by management.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

• Good working knowledge in the use of AutoCAD
• Adequate computer skills.

Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Salary: $24 - $26 per hour
