Job summary

Collabera in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a CAD Drafter for a 6-month contract. Remote-to-start with eventual reporting to a local office once established.

You will create, revise, and complete detailed engineering drawings for parts and assemblies using CAD, CAM, and CATIA, spanning structures, devices, mechanics, and electronics, while collaborating with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of engineering drafting practices.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as CAD, CAM, or CATIA.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and complete routine tasks.
• Problem-solving skills for resolving routine issues with prescribed solutions.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with peers to obtain or provide information.

Responsibilities

• Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others, following standard engineering drafting practices.
• Determine scaling, insert necessary reference planes, and add centering and dimension lines.
• Perform hidden line interpolations and sectioning.
• Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Contribute to design modifications to enhance product quality and facilitate manufacturing operations.

Job Title: CAD Drafter
Location: Minneapolis MN (This position is remote to start however, once an office is established locally the candidate will be expected to report to an office)
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $16/hr - $22/hr
