CAD Detailer – Stone Fabrication
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Detailer to join our team, specializing in creating detailed technical drawings and assisting with material takeoffs and estimating for custom stone projects-including architectural facades, flooring, and specialty features. This role works closely with project managers and production teams to ensure that designs translate accurately from concept to fabrication, supporting both efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings, including shop drawings, cut sheets, and installation plans for stone products.
Revise and maintain drawings to reflect project scope and design updates.
Perform material takeoffs to calculate quantities of stone required for fabrication and installation.
Collaborate with project managers and production to identify challenges or discrepancies early in the process.
Participate in job walks, RFIs, and coordination meetings as needed.
Communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure project expectations are met.
Maintain organized files, CAD libraries, and document version control.
Conduct quality reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or technical training in Drafting, Construction Technology, or Engineering.
2–5 years of experience in CAD drafting or estimating, preferably in the stone, construction, or architectural industry.
Proficiency in CAD software and estimating tools (e.g., Excel, PlanSwift).
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Preferred: Familiarity with CAM software (MasterCAM, EasyStone) and construction documents.
