The CAD Detailer is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans specifically for stone products, including countertops, facades, flooring, and other architectural elements. This role involves collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and production teams to ensure that designs meet specifications, quality standards, and client expectations. The CAD Detailer will use computer-aided design software to develop precise and accurate drawings that guide the manufacturing and installation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Drawing Creation:
• Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for stone products, including shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation plans.
• Develop layout drawings, cut sheets, and assembly drawings with precise measurements and material specifications.
• Pallet Packaging and Labeling
• Project Collaboration:
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and clients to understand project requirements, design intent, and constraints.
• Participate in project meetings to provide input on design feasibility, material selection, and production techniques.
• Software Utilization:
• Utilize CAD software to create and modify drawings.
• Maintain and update CAD libraries, drawing templates, and standard details for stone products.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and client requirements.
• Perform thorough reviews and checks of drawings to identify and correct any errors, inconsistencies, or potential issues.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain organized records of all drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
• Prepare and present drawing sets and revisions to project teams, clients, and production staff as needed.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD software, stone manufacturing techniques, and industry trends.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  

Qualifications

• Education:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a CAD Detailer or similar role in the stone manufacturing or related industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software and 3D Modeling
• Experience with stone fabrication and installation processes is highly desirable but not required.
• Skills:
• Strong technical drawing and drafting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret complex technical documents, architectural plans, and specifications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure managing changing priorities, meet deadlines, and be tactful and diplomatic.
