Job summary

Water Works Engineers, a civil and environmental engineering firm, seeks a CAD Designer to transform complex engineering concepts into accurate, buildable plans for municipal water infrastructure.

You will produce design documents across civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines, collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Design, or related discipline, or equivalent civil‑specific experience.
• 5–10 years of experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Revit across civil, structural, and mechanical design tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Proactive in learning new techniques and improving design practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex architectural, structural, and mechanical design models and drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit for steel detailing, concrete components, pipe networks, and water/wastewater systems.
• Produce detailed design plans and schedules from conceptual sketches and engineering inputs while adhering to standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to incorporate feedback and ensure cross‑discipline integration.
• Participate in project meetings, providing updates and technical insight into design progress.
• Support deliverable preparation using Microsoft Office tools and documentation.
• Stay current with evolving design tools and best practices to strengthen design capabilities.
