Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team in Sedalia, MO or Houston, TX. The role focuses on improving shop drawings, manufacturing processes, and supporting the engineering team with design optimization.

You will create and modify component and assembly drawings, ensure dimensional accuracy, and prepare documentation for manufacturing and field fabrication. ProEnergy emphasizes quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Trade School Diploma or Equivalent (5) years of work experience in a similar capacity; Associate degree preferred.
Experience with mechanical component and assembly drawings and BOMs in heavy industrial/manufacturing environments.
Proficient in Inventor and AutoCAD 2D and using MS Office.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines for long- and short-term objectives.
Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T fundamentals, and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

Designs products for ease of manufacturing with high reliability per customer requirements.
Checks drawings, parts lists, and cut sheets against shop drawings and notifies gaps.
Ensures all information is replicated in the drawing set for shop/field fabrication and assembly.
Processes engineering change notices efficiently and maintains complete documentation.
Attends design reviews and project kickoff meetings; monitors status and deadlines.
Communicates with other departments and suppliers to coordinate design efforts.
