Job summary

Wachter, Inc. in Lowell, AR is seeking a CAD Operator to design, plan, and engineer network cable infrastructure across nationwide projects.

The role focuses on using drawing files and sketches to produce accurate pre/post-construction drawings, wiring schematics, and material lists. You will collaborate with designers and project managers to interpret plans, stay current with industry standards, and maintain Wachter’s high standard of workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years CAD drafting experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Proficient with computers, email, spreadsheets, and MS Office programs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify pre/post-construction drawings using existing drawing files and/or sketches provided by others (structural, civil, mechanical, and/or visual/conceptual).
• Consult designers and project managers to discuss and interpret design plans and determine requirements for detailed working drawings.
• Draft detail and assembly drawings for construction, including wiring schematics (line drawings).
• Create indexing, legends, sheet sets, and/or bill of materials for designs.
• Stay up to date on industry and engineering standards.
• Maintain Wachter’s high standard of quality and professionalism regarding workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.
• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein which your supervisor may assign.
• Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA.
