Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 3 years of post-education experience in drafting and design support.
• Familiar with drafting and design support principles, practices, process, methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of codes, regulations, and record-keeping requirements.
• Good research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from sites, surveys, drawings and specifications to support drafting and design activities.
• Use 3D CAD software to prepare precise drawings and basic design details.
• Provide technical design assistance including GD&T and tolerance calculations to ensure constructible designs.
• Verify calculations and interpret contract plans and specifications, escalating issues when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project work.
• Ensure plans comply with city codes and regulations.
• Prepare multiple design versions for engineer review.
• Verify dimensions, materials, and procedures meet contract requirements.
