Job summary
Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking a Drafter / CAD Designer for an onsite role with a family-owned manufacturer in Racine, WI. You’ll turn architectural plans into 3D models and detailed production drawings for millwork, cabinetry, fixtures, and displays.
Use SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD to interpret blueprints, ensure manufacturability, and collaborate with engineering and production. Pay is $28–$35/hour with overtime, benefits, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Reading and interpreting architectural plans and blueprints.
- Experience with millwork, cabinetry, casework, or fixtures.
- Ability to translate concepts into manufacturable drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models, production drawings, and shop drawings in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, specs, and customer requirements.
- Develop drawings for millwork, cabinetry, casework, fixtures, displays.
- Incorporate wood construction, hardware, and occasional metal components.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Make revisions based on project requirements and internal design reviews.
