Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Millwork Engineer / CAD Designer to support architectural woodworking projects from design to installation. You will develop shop drawings from architectural plans, coordinating with architects, contractors, and CNC teams to ensure production-ready outputs.
The ideal candidate has a strong AutoCAD background and hands-on experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or millwork. Training available for CNC programming with WoodWOP/WoodCAD CAM tools and CutRite.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Work Location: On-Site
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
We are seeking a skilled Millwork Engineer / CAD Designer to join our team and support the production of architectural woodworking and millwork projects from design through manufacturing and installation.
This position is responsible for taking architectural drawings and developing detailed shop drawings for review and approval by architects, general contractors, construction managers, and customers. Approved drawings are then used by our CNC operators, bench carpenters, and installation crews to bring the project to completion.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of AutoCAD combined with hands-on knowledge of woodworking, cabinetry, carpentry, or architectural millwork. Experience with CNC programming software is highly beneficial, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has the necessary AutoCAD and woodworking foundation.
We are looking for someone who can work efficiently, demonstrate a sense of urgency, communicate effectively, and take ownership of their work with minimal supervision.
A two-year degree is not required for this position.
We are primarily interested in what you can do, not simply what is listed on your résumé. Candidates who can demonstrate strong AutoCAD skills, understand woodworking and millwork, and effectively communicate within a manufacturing and construction environment will be considered.
We are willing to train the right candidate on CNC programming and our specific CAD/CAM software if they already possess a strong foundation in AutoCAD and woodworking.
The successful candidate will be someone who:
If you have a strong AutoCAD background and understand woodworking or millwork, we want to hear from you. CNC programming expertise is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
