Job summary

Interstate Mechanical, LLC is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our Operations/BIM team in Phoenix. You will produce, coordinate, and maintain detailed mechanical piping drawings using AutoCAD Fabrication MEP, Revit, and Navisworks, ensuring coordination across project teams and field personnel.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of piping detailing experience, strong BIM coordination skills, and the ability to generate fabrication-ready deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience detailing mechanical piping systems.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD Fabrication MEP, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Proficient in BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Ability to coordinate with project teams and field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify detailed mechanical piping drawings for coordination.
• Produce isometric spool drawings for fabrication.
• Review project specs and subcontractor drawings for compliance.
• Coordinate system routing, equipment layouts, and material requirements.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve conflicts.
• Prepare CAD shop drawings and turnover packages.
• Use Bluebeam Revu and Procore for documentation.
