Job summary

ADC Water in Phoenix/Mesa, AZ seeks a senior, hands-on CAD Designer to own mechanical and piping production for water, wastewater, and related facilities.

You will collaborate with engineers, field teams, and vendors to transform P&IDs, field information, and equipment data into coordinated, constructible drawing packages, guiding templates, standards, and checking practices to scale the in-house design function.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of CAD/piping/mechanical design experience.
• Proficient AutoCAD in a production setting; Plant 3D/Revit a plus.
• Ability to read P&IDs and translate into layouts and details.
• Experience with piping routing and equipment layouts.
• Strong QA/QC and document-control habits.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and piping layouts, isometrics, sections, and construction documents.
• Translate P&IDs and schematics into model and drawings.
• Incorporate vendor drawings and field data; verify dimensions and clearances.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and other teams.
• Maintain templates, standards, libraries, and file structures.
• Support design development through construction and RFIs.
