Job summary

The CAD Designer II role involves developing coordinated 3D plant models and producing detailed 2D drawings from the models. You will support multidisciplinary design tasks and supervise junior staff in a hands-on design environment.

You will work with AutoCAD Plant 3D, read P&IDs, and help ensure compliance with drafting standards while coordinating with process, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines. Office-based with occasional field visits.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years CAD design experience (water, wastewater, or industrial).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D for equipment modeling and piping.
• Ability to read P&IDs, general arrangements, and piping plans.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Office-based with occasional field or shop visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AutoCAD Plant 3D models for equipment and piping.
• Generate 2D construction drawings derived from 3D models.
• Update P&IDs based on input from engineering.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
• Mentor CAD Designer I staff and support field teams with clarifications.
• Track drawing revisions and ensure complete drawing packages.
