The role involves maintaining revision control on CAD files, preparing drawings with Applications, Sales and Design Engineers, and converting concepts into fully specified design documents to aid manufacturing. Ideal candidates will have an Associate's degree in drafting or related field with 5+ years in a custom manufacturing environment, strong 3D CAD skills, and proficiency in

Qualifications

Associate's degree in drafting or related technical field with minimum 5 years' experience in a custom manufacturing environment
Advanced skills with 3D modeling CAD packages
Advanced skills with both mechanical and electrical drawing practices
Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain revision control on all CAD files.
Prepare drawings in collaboration with Applications/Sales/Design Engineers.
Assemble/Convert design concepts and create design documents that specify the design intent and support manufacture.
Prepare both mechanical and electrical design documents.
Make recommendations to improve product cost, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
Work with production personnel to resolve design issues.
Create drawing files and keep them updated according to Company procedures.
Support and assist Design Engineering Manager as needed.
