Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to create technical drawings and design documentation for Switchgear Division products.

This role works closely with Applications, Sales, and Design Engineering teams to translate engineering concepts into accurate, detailed drawings that support production. The ideal candidate will have strong 3D CAD modeling skills, experience with both mechanical and electrical drawing practices, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Drafting or related field with 5+ years in a custom manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Experience creating drawings for manufacturing and revision control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain revision control for all CAD files per procedures.
• Prepare detailed drawings with engineers and sales.
• Translate engineering concepts into complete design documentation.
• Create mechanical and electrical design drawings.
• Identify and resolve design/manufacturing issues with teams.
• Manage multiple projects to deadlines.
• Provide basic design support to Applications and Design Engineers.
