Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed two years college or technical school course work in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) or a technical discipline or equivalent.
• Specific Business Units may require one (1) year design experience in area of specialization.
• Demonstrated oral and written communications and interpersonal skill, as well as PC skills in a Windows environment.
• Some work areas may require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or revises drawings and documents for installation, modification, and operation of electrical/electronic facilities or equipment.
• Gathers and develops engineering data; performs field investigations to determine as-built conditions.
• Provides field prints and working copies to expedite final drawings; assists in site wiring diagrams and layouts.
• Ensures conformance to procedures, regulations, and codes.
• Compiles documentation for projects and transmits for review and approvals.
• Maintains and updates design configuration documents using CADD and drafting.
• Learns to use all applicable systems and apply critical thinking in team settings.
