Job summary

xAI is seeking a CAD Designer to support the design and development of our data centers and AI infrastructure in Memphis and surrounding areas. You will create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models, supporting rapid construction, installation, and iteration of mechanical, electrical, and architectural systems.

Work closely with engineering, construction, and facilities teams to translate innovative concepts into precise, buildable designs.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional CAD design experience in industrial, data center, or mission‑critical facilities.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
Associate degree or higher in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD/BIM software.
Create layouts and schematics for mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and structural systems in data center environments.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to incorporate design changes and ensure accuracy.
Produce construction documents, as‑built drawings, and installation details.
Manage drawing revisions, version control, and documentation standards.
Perform site visits and field verification to ensure drawings reflect actual conditions.
Support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
