Our dedicated, down-to-earth team of engineers, technicians, and inspectors is seeking a like-minded individual to support both drafting and field inspections. Position Overview
This role offers a blend of field and office responsibilities. You’ll assist engineers by performing site inspections, supporting construction oversight, and producing accurate design and construction drawings using AutoCAD. It’s a dynamic, on-the-go position, ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented candidate looking to grow in the engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site inspections and condition assessments before, during, and after construction
Document field observations and prepare clear, detailed reports
Collect job-site data and attend pre-bid meetings and job showings
Collaborate with client representatives, general contractors, and construction crews
Make on-the-spot decisions to help resolve site issues or unforeseen conditions
Create and revise construction and design drawings using AutoCAD based on engineer guidance and field findings
Ensure timely and accurate updates to plans and project documentation
Qualifications and Skills
Some experience in construction, drafting, or related fields preferred
Proficiency with:
AutoCAD (required)
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Adobe PDF Reader/Editor tools
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Comfortable reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical diagrams
Ability to clearly document data and compose field notes and formal reports
Valid driver's license with a clean record (company vehicle provided for all work-related travel)
Self-motivated, energetic, and enjoys working outdoors and in the field
Willingness to work flexible hours Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines
