Job summary

Alleguard is seeking a CAD Designer to join our technical/engineering team in Anderson, SC. You will create detailed CAD drawings and develop plans from customer specifications, engineering input, and field needs to support sales and manufacturing processes.

The role requires around 25% travel and a background in drafting or engineering. You will collaborate cross-functionally and manage documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a CAD Designer.
• Proficient knowledge of CAD software and drafting tools.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
• Ability to draw manually is a plus but not essential.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Computer literacy; experience with CAD, BIM, SketchUp, Word and Excel preferred.
• Strong relationship-building with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Flexible and adaptable; willing to take on varied assignments.

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed CAD drawings as per instructions and specifications provided by customers, sales representatives, manufacturing personnel, and engineers.
• Provided manufacturing equipment codes based on CAD drawings and equipment software (Shop Cam, G coding) to Alleguard manufacturing facilities.
• Provide design takeoffs for Alleguard products, including roofing, geotechnical fill materials, and other products using engineering software.
• Creating and altering construction sketches
• Following project schedules and deadlines
• Maintaining organized work files and project documentation
