Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a CAD Designer to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. The successful candidate will produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D models, generate and manage BOMs, and collaborate with engineering to take ideas from prototyping to production.

The ideal candidate has a CAD-related technical certificate or associate degree, strong technical drawing skills, and proficiency in Inventor/AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, with good math and sheet metal fabrication knowledge.

Qualifications

Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CAD.
Experience with Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
Strong technical drawing ability.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Understanding of mathematics, engineering and sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and prototypes.
Accurately represent dimensions using GD&T.
Manage BOMs and part files.
Collaborate with engineering to transition ideas from prototyping to production.
Analyze designs for potential improvements.
Generate and manage metal fabrication nesting files.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
