Job summary

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. in South Bend, IN is seeking an experienced Designer/CAD Specialist to support civil, environmental, and electrical projects.

You will work with engineers on design activities, prepare 2D and 3D drawings, and assist with fieldwork and surveys. The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design Technology or related field, strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills, and the ability to read plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
• 3D modeling experience is a plus.
• Municipal project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project engineers on design activities.
• Prepare 2D/3D engineering drawings for construction.
• Assist with fieldwork and surveys as needed.
• Perform quantity take-offs and GIS figure development.
