Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed CAD models and drawings from specifications and layouts.
  • Revise/update existing models/drawings per direction from engineers/project management.
  • Ensure accuracy/quality under guidance of engineers and senior team members.
  • Apply established drafting/modelling practices to produce clear, usable documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to understand objectives and timelines.
  • Maintain compliance with drafting standards, procedures, and quality requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating accurate and high-quality CAD models and drawings based on engineering specifications, sketches, and layouts. Working closely with engineers and project teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of a variety of projects while developing your technical drafting and design expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed models and drawings using CAD software in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
  • Revise and update existing models and drawings based on engineering or project management direction.
  • Work under the guidance of engineers and senior team members to ensure the accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
  • Apply established drafting and modelling practices to produce clear, concise, and usable technical documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to understand project objectives and timelines.
  • Maintain compliance with drafting standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Associate's Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; or completion of a relevant vocational/technical high school program.
  • Experience using CAD software in an engineering, manufacturing, or design environment.
  • Basic understanding of drafting principles and industry standards, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
