About the Role:

IPS corporation is seeking a CAD Designer to create 2D and 3D isometric designs using computer-aided design software. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to create building DWV piping system layouts, using AutoCAD software. If you are a creative problem-solver with a passion for design, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities:

• Work with architects, engineers, and other members of the project team as part of the project planning process
• Collaborate with staff and customers to create 2D and 3D isometric drawings of proposed piping layouts, including the application of ProVent products
• Produce clear and concise drawings using generally acceptable drafting practices
• Maintain control over drawing revisions
• Store drawing files in a controlled location
• Perform other duties as assigned including periodic reviews of drawings and specifications

Requirements and Skills:

• Associate’s degree in design or engineering, or related field
• 3+ years’ experience as CAD designer
• Experience with AutoCAD (required) and Revit (preferred)
• Solid knowledge of drafting techniques applicable to building design
• Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be able to work with people of all backgrounds.

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to sit and stand for long periods. Must be able to lift and move items or boxes up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be extended to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
