Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Experienced CAD Operator to join our Land Development team in Raleigh, North Carolina. You will design and produce plans for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects using CAD software.

Responsibilities include developing technical drawings, performing quality checks, and coordinating with teams to meet schedules. Prior supervision of CAD staff may be required, and strong engineering knowledge will support design changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associates degree is preferred.
• Strong experience with CAD drafting and plan preparation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce sets of plans for land development projects.
• Develop technical drawings using CAD software.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity.
• May supervise and train CAD staff.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
