Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in Hollywood, Alabama, is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development and integration of complex systems for government and industrial customers. The role focuses on concept development, prototyping and testing, with collaboration across engineering and production to ensure hardware is manufacturable and meets program requirements.

Experience with prototype hardware and CAD tools is essential.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar STEM).
• Experience designing and developing prototype hardware.
• SolidWorks or other CAD experience.
• Designing for manufacturing methods including milling and turning operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop prototype hardware for complex systems.
• Facilitate integration between engineering and production/prototyping teams.
• Support manufacturing methods and tooling selection including milling/turning.
• Collaborate with government customers as needed.
