Job summary

Jensen Precast in Sparks, NV seeks a CAD Drafter to create layouts, drawings, and designs according to engineering specs using CAD software.

You will develop programs with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SigmaNEST, WeldPro and BobCAD, optimize material usage, and support production with load sheets and BOMs. Candidates should have Autodesk Inventor experience and be Autodesk Certified User within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience utilizing drafting software.
• Basic understanding of manufactured product design.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and drafting using Autodesk Inventor.
• Autodesk Certified User within 60 days of hire - Required
• Knowledge of drafting protocols and standards; template modeling and/or CAD automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at the work site. Works overtime as assigned.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e., cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions or equipment and notifies supervisor.
• Creates programs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SigmaNEST, WeldPro and BobCAD for CNC plate processing and robotic welding equipment. Uses best practices to optimize material usage and run times. Suggests product changes that will improve processing times and/or improve material yields.
• Estimates processing time for CNC equipment in support of job estimating. Anticipates processing issues and proposes solutions when known.
• Maintains an accurate library of programs and materials. Adheres to document naming and storage procedures.
• Creates support documentation including load sheets, part drawings, and bills of material as required.
• Supports production employees as needed.
