Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years CAD Programmer experience in precision sheet metal.
• Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Communicate effectively with customers (oral and written).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develops and details mechanical components and process plans using AutoCAD.
• Provides design guidance to manufacturing and sales departments.
• Creates drawings and CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for production coordination.
• Nests parts on sheets to maximize material usage.
• Maintains product data and enters programming data.
• Collaborates with CNC operators on tooling and speeds for optimal output.
• Keeps up with engineering knowledge through workshops and publications.
• Adheres to safety policies and project deadlines.
