Job summary

Wichita State University’s NIAR CAD/CAM Lab in Wichita, KS is seeking a part-time CAD technician to independently verify that 3D models accurately reflect 2D data packages and to develop solutions to design problems.

Responsibilities include examining drawings, comparing 3D models to 2D documents, providing feedback to modelers, and collaborating with staff onsite. Compensation is $50 per hour and work is performed in person at the Wichita location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Onsite work in Wichita, KS.

Responsibilities

• Examines engineering drawings and related documents.
• Compares 3D models and annotations to the provided 2D documents to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Provides feedback to the modelers and annotators on any errors or omissions.
• Interfaces with modelers and annotators and helps mentor development.
