Job summary

Cactus Wellhead is seeking a Field Service Technician for rotational on-site work in Hobbs, NM. You will perform installation, testing, servicing and repair of wellhead equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include installing and testing equipment, performing maintenance, keeping up with field documentation, and communicating effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1-3 years related experience or training.
• H2S, SafeLand, and DOT certifications required when driving vehicles >10,001 GVWR.

Responsibilities

• Install and test equipment per operating procedures.
• Service equipment as requested by customers and perform maintenance.
• Repair equipment as needed and report field issues to the Branch Manager.
• Maintain the service vehicle and tools; ensure timely maintenance.
• Prepare Field Service Orders and required customer documents.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction with timely and competent service.

Description

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Hobbs, TX

Job Summary: Performs field service activities including installation, testing, servicing, and repairing wellhead equipment. Maintains customer base by performing timely and competent service work.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
• Checking compatibility of equipment, inspecting condition, dry fitting and communicating relevant information with customer.
• Installing and testing of equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
• Servicing equipment as requested by customers in accordance with maintenance procedures.
• Repairing equipment as requested by customers and as necessary due to field malfunctions.
• Maintain service vehicle and tolls/equipment. Ensure periodic maintenance consistent with Company policy and promptly report required repairs to Branch Manager.
• Providing feedback to the Company through reporting of field problems and failures to the Branch Manager for processing of Field Complaint Reports.
• Identifying and ensuring appropriate tools, backup equipment and parts are available at or taken on service job.
• Preparing Field Service Orders, Rental Tickets and customer required documents accurately and completely.
• Maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction by providing timely and competent service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education, Training, Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer required training.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Certified in H2S, SafeLand and DOT when driving vehicles greater than 10,001 GVWR.

Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Working knowledge of Cactus Wellhead Product, Customer Service Best Practices, Service Documentation and Record Keeping, Wellhead and Valve Equipment Compatibility, Wellhead and Valve Installation, Operation, and Maintenance, Field Equipment Repair, Equipment Troubleshooting of Cactus Wellhead and other OEM Equipment.
• Intermediate Computer, Language, and Mathematical Skills.
• Intermediate Reasoning Ability.
• Must possess the ability to speak, read and understand English as this position requires comprehension of written instructions and communication with English-speaking colleagues and customers.
