The role focuses on influencing design decisions early, aligning sourcing with technology roadmaps, and delivering measurable value across cost, quality, and supply resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years in strategic sourcing or techno-commercial roles.
• Experience with cables, harnesses, interconnects, or related engineered components.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategy and commercial outcomes.
• Strong should-costing, negotiations, and lifecycle risk management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute techno-commercial sourcing strategy for cables.
• Collaborate with Engineering during design to influence specs and cost.
• Translate requirements into supplier selection and commercial models.
• Lead should-costing, value engineering, and TCO discussions.
• Assess supplier capabilities, capacity, and quality systems.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, capacity, tooling, and lead times.
• Gatekeep new cable part introductions and lifecycle risk plans.
• Develop alternate suppliers and regional diversification plans.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to balance technical and commercial outcomes.
