Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to lead techno‑commercial sourcing for the Cables commodity. You will influence design decisions, align sourcing with technology roadmaps, and develop supplier ecosystems to deliver cost, quality, lead time, and resilience benefits.

The role requires 15+ years in strategic sourcing and strong experience in should-costing, negotiations, and lifecycle risk management. Occasional travel and cross‑functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 15+ years in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or techno-commercial supply chain roles.
• Experience with cables, harnesses, interconnects, or engineered commodities.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategy and commercial outcomes.
• Proven should-costing, value engineering, supplier negotiations, and lifecycle risk management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute techno-commercial sourcing strategy for the Cables commodity aligned with roadmaps.
• Influence specifications, materials, manufacturability, availability, and cost during early design stages.
• Translate technical requirements into supplier selection and long-term strategies.
• Lead should-costing, value engineering, and total cost of ownership discussions.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, processes, capacity, quality systems, and scalability.
• Drive negotiations on pricing, capacity, tooling, lead time, and contract terms.
• Gatekeep new cable part introductions, ensuring alignment with roadmaps and risk plans.
• Develop alternate suppliers and OEM pathways to reduce single-source risk.
• Lead lifecycle risk management including obsolescence and technology transitions.
