Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking technicians for a contract role based in Montgomery, AL to perform low voltage wiring and data center installations. Responsibilities include terminating Cat6, building closets, grounding, IDC terminations, and conduit/wire pulling.

The position requires indoor/outdoor work in data centers and hands-on use of common trade tools. The role offers onsite work with a pay range of $21.00–$25.00 per hour, with standard benefits eligibility as noted in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices.
• Build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Complete IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
• Work inside and outside building to outfit data centers.
• Pull wires and supervise conduit installations and wire pulling.
• Operate tools/equipment (e.g., cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers).

Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
