Job summary

Quadrant, Inc. in West Haven, CT is seeking a Cable Technician Assistant for an overnight shift to support installation and maintenance of cabling infrastructure. You will assist with pulling, routing, and terminating cables and help install IT equipment such as routers and cameras.

Applicants should have prior experience, be willing to learn CAT5e/6 and fiber optic cabling, and be able to lift 40+ lbs. Customer service is essential and safety protocols must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service always.
• Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure.
• Pull, route, and terminate cables including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.
• Perform site surveys to determine best installation route and method.
• Terminate RJ45 via CAT5E/6 per industry standards.
• Ensure cables are neatly routed, dressed, and bundled.
• Install cabling support components such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
• Install IT equipment such as routers, switches, cameras, wireless devices.
• Test to ensure new cable systems and devices are operational.
• Troubleshoot device or cabling issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during installations.

Cable Technician Assistant

West Haven, CT (Overnight Shift)

Pay: $18 per hour

MUST

• Experienced Cable Technicians Assistant
• Must have work experience
• Willing to learn CAT5e/6 and fiber optic cables and install
• Ability to work in small spaces.
• Ability to lift 40+ Lbs.

DUTIES

• Provide excellent customer service always.
• installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure.
• Pull, route, and terminate various types of cables, including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.
• Perform site surveys to determine the best installation route and method.
• Terminate RJ45 via CAT5E/6 in accordance with industry standards.
• Ensuring all cables are neatly routed, dressed, and bundled.
• Installation of cabling support components such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
• Installation IT equipment such as routers, switches, cameras, wireless, etc...
• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
• Troubleshoot device and or cabling issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installations.
