Job summary

Quadrant, Inc. is seeking a Cable Technician Assistant for the Waterford, CT overnight shift. Pay is $18 per hour, with duties including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cabling infrastructure, and testing to ensure operability.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cable Technician Assistant or in a similar install role.
• Must have prior work experience.
• Willing to learn CAT5e/6 and fiber optic cables.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service during installations.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain cabling infrastructure.
• Pull, route, and terminate coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic cables.
• Conduct site surveys to determine best installation routes.
• Terminate RJ45 connections per CAT5e/6 standards.
• Ensure cables are neatly routed and secured.
• Install cabling support components and IT equipment.
• Test installed systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.

Cable Technician Assistant

Waterford, CT (Overnight Shift)

Pay: $18 per hour



MUST:

Experienced Cable Technicians Assistant

Must have work experience

Willing to learn CAT5e/6 and fiber optic cables and install

Ability to work in small spaces.

Ability to lift 40+ Lbs.



DUTIES:

Provide excellent customer service always.

installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure.

Pull, route, and terminate various types of cables, including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.

Perform site surveys to determine the best installation route and method.

Terminate RJ45 via CAT5E/6 in accordance with industry standards.

Ensuring all cables are neatly routed, dressed, and bundled.

Installation of cabling support components such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.

Installation IT equipment such as routers, switches, cameras, wireless, etc...

Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.

Troubleshoot device and or cabling issues.

Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installations.
