$55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cabler & Security Systems Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling and security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and time & attendance readers. The ideal candidate will have experience running and terminating low-voltage cables, installing and configuring security devices, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, fiber, coax, etc.).
• Install and configure security cameras (CCTV, IP-based), access control systems, and time & attendance readers.
• Mount, wire, and power up security and access control devices, including card readers, keypads, biometric scanners, and door strikes.
• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on all installed systems.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to execute projects effectively.
• Provide technical support and training to clients or end-users as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service requests, and system performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in low-voltage cabling, security systems installation, or a related field.
• Knowledge of wiring methods, termination, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with security and access control brands like Spot.Ai, Meraki, Axis, or similar.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and operate hand/power tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed (up to 70%)
• Indoor and outdoor work at construction sites, offices, and industrial facilities.
• Some after-hours or weekend work may be required for installations or emergencies.
