Insight Global is seeking an experienced Fiber Technician II / Fiber Splicer to support installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fiber optic networks across diverse client environments.

You will install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and splice fiber optic cabling, working with SMF/MMF and high-count strands (288+). Proficiency with OTDR, PMLS, and Fluke DTX 180 is required, along with copper cabling support.

Formación

• 2+ years of fiber optic installation experience.
• Experience installing, terminating, testing, troubleshooting, and splicing fiber optic cabling.
• Proficiency with single-mode and multi-mode fiber systems.
• Experience with high-count fiber (288+ strands).
• Hands-on experience with fusion splicing and ribbon splicing.
• Experience using OTDR, Fluke DTX 180, and PMLS testing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot network and fiber connectivity issues.
• Basic experience with structured copper cabling and terminations.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and resolve network connectivity and end-to-end fiber issues.
• Install and terminate fiber connectors including LC, SC, ST, FC, SMA, FDDI, and MPO/MTP.
• Support copper cabling installations, including CAT3/CAT5 terminations, patch panels, and 66/110 blocks.
• Ensure all work meets project quality, safety, and performance standards.
