Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Structured Cabling Technician II to support large-scale data center and telecommunications infrastructure projects. You will install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems while traveling to project sites.

The ideal candidate has 1–2+ years of low-voltage or telecommunications experience, strong installation skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments. This role requires 100% travel.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, route, terminate, label, and test structured cabling in data centers and telecommunications environments.
• Install racks, backboards, patch panels, cross-connects, and related network infrastructure hardware.
• Terminate copper cabling, jacks, 110/66 blocks, and patch panels according to industry standards.
• Perform continuity testing, certification testing, and troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, network diagrams, floor plans, and project documentation to execute installations accurately.

This individual will be responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems while supporting critical network and data center operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on low-voltage or telecommunications experience, strong technical installation skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments while traveling extensively to project sites. This role will partner closely with project managers, field technicians, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, quality installation standards, and on‑time delivery.

Responsibilities:
