Job summary

CA CI, Melbourne, FL, is seeking a skilled Cable Technician to build and wire cables to IPC standards in a fast-paced environment. You will read drawings, pin Ethernet cables, crimp and solder, label cables, and follow work instructions to ensure high-quality builds. This role may require overtime and independent work.

Candidates should have 5+ years in cable build, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC 620 certifications, and awareness of FOD/ESD. Prior aerospace/defense exposure is a plus.

The Opportunity

CACI has an exciting opportunity for a new technician to take on a new role on our team. Multiple programs to contribute on with more programs to come. High need for an experienced cable technician to build cables for us. Fast-paced environment with a solid team. Ethernet pinning, soldering, fiber cable builds, crimping and pinning wire with the opportunity to execute testing for verification of builds.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read drawings and wire diagrams
• Pinning ethernet cables to IPC industry standards
• Crimping pins to wire and pinning in connectors to IPC industry standards
• Soldering to IPC industry standards
• Labeling cables
• Ability to follow work instructions and sign off steps
• Ability to execute high workload at a fast pace with quality execution
• Ability to work overtime if needed
• Ability to perform work with no supervision
• Ability to take on tasks outside of cable work

The proposed salary range for this position is: $39,400 - $68,200
