Job summary

Rentex is seeking a Quality Control Technician: Cable for our Orlando, FL operations. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections on cable assemblies, conduct electrical/mechanical tests, and document results to ensure products meet specifications.

You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to address defects, update QC procedures, and support internal and external audits. A strong eye for detail and IPC/WHMA familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in quality control or inspection in manufacturing, preferably cable-related.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to confirm conformance to drawings.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing on cables to detect faults.
• Document results accurately and generate reports for management review.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to identify root causes of defects.
• Assist in updating QC procedures and work instructions for efficiency.
• Participate in audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain calibration and proper functioning of inspection equipment.
• Stand for long shifts and handle cables weighing up to 60lbs.
