Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals seeks a Quality Control Technician: Cable to ensure cable assemblies meet strict specifications before reaching customers. You will inspect, test, document results, and collaborate with production to drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities include visual/ dimensional inspections, electrical/mechanical testing, audits, and maintaining calibration of equipment. Lifting up to 60lbs and standing long shifts are required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment, preferably related to cable or wire products.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical testing methods.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Aufgaben

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of cable products to verify conformance to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing on cables using specialized equipment to detect faults or performance issues.
• Document inspection results and test data accurately in quality control systems and generate reports for management review.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures and work instructions to enhance inspection efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain calibration and proper functioning of inspection and testing equipment.
• Cable techs stand for the entire shift and clean, rewrap, test and reshelve cables all day with some of the cables weighing up to 60lbs.
